jamesfhenry's profile
I am a bit of a jack of all trades. My career started out as a radio disk jockey, and I used the airname Crash Cromwell. I worked as a journalist for eight years, and during that time folks had all kinds of names for me (reporters aren't terribly popular, ya know!) but I used my formal name for my bylines - James F. Henry. In time, I decided that being a journalist was not enough, so I sunk even lower on most people's checklist and entered politics. I was elected to many offices in my old hometown of Greenfield, Massachusetts. I also started another phase of my professional career, becoming a municipal administrator, which I also did for eight years.
Soon after getting married, my wife and I decided to relocate our family to the great state of Maine, in part because we have a son with special needs, and Maine schools are much more proactive in dealing with kids with issues like my son has. Around that same time, I concluded that being a municipal administrator may have worked when I was single, but my kids needed more from their father than a paycheck.
Now I am working out of my home as a freelance writer, editor and faculty member for the University of Phoenix Axia College online. In my spare time, I am trying to flesh out my novel - Antiquity Calais: Standing at Armageddon - in hopes that I can attract a publisher. If not, I also have a goal of starting a small publishing operation, known as Full Moon Over Bunganut.
So that's me in a nutshell! I hope you enjoy your stay here, and I'm glad that you stopped by!
